So, my last blog told how I was persuaded into buying a coat by my kids. Well this expands on that story really. My daughter (17, 5'7, green hair, skinny, clothes hanger (anything looks good hanging on her)) always tells me to try on the most outrageous clothes she can find. 'It's so you' she tells me. Yeh, thanks for that!
Today we ended up in Debenhams as she was looking for trousers (none were suitable though - it's seldom anything is to her exact taste). But lo and behold she found items for me to try. Gold garish ankle length trousers - no thanks Emily! But... she came up with this Abba-esque black frilled jumpsuit and I gave in.
Much hilarity in the changing rooms later and I got attached to the thing. I liked it. Ok, I didn't buy it as I have no where to wear it but I love the thing. Wear it drinking Prosecco in the house on a Saturday night - my mum suggested. Wear it to the shopping centre was another. Ah it's a no from me because my sensible side rules out you see.
Obviously that sensible side was absent the day I bought the coat. And this coat by the way is still in the bag waiting on me to decide if I will keep it or not. 'Keep it' everyone tells me and I think 'yeh why the hell not'... and then sensible me puts it back in the bag so I can consider it further.
Now I'm at home wishing I had bought this jumpsuit just in case I go anywhere one day...
