So, there is a possibility that Nerf guns could cause eye injuries... well, no shit Sherlock. They are toy guns that fire out (albeit soft) bullets after all. Of course there is a chance of injury. That's the chance you take if you are a parent buying it for your kid or a kid using it.
The crazy fact about this article is that the 3 people with these reported serious injuries are a 32 year old man, a 43 year old woman and an 11 year old child. Yes that's right, a 32 year old man and a 43 year old woman.
Why is this crazy? Well, there are suggestions that the recommended age limit be increased from 8 years old (wait hold on a minute. Yes, check out the ages of those injured, what should the recommended age be? 44?). Oh yes and that protective goggles should be worn (yeh no one over 4 will wear goggles, seriously).
Let's not give in to the ban it brigade... let your kids play with Nerf guns. After all, the bullets will last less than a week and then they are all lost!
